Frequently asked questions and answers

What is special about our furniture?

We develop and design our own models with the aim that they are manufactured in a "proper way" so that you as a customer can have these for many years which we believe is best for the environment and for you. When choosing materials, we choose the highest quality of pine and Jarrah.

Selling cheap furniture by copying existing ones and manufacturing where wages are lowest and choosing the cheapest materials and technology would be too simple and does not stimulate our everyday lives.

Do I need to take care of my garden furniture?

In order for natural materials to maintain good quality over time, the care instructions that we provide upon purchase and on the website must be followed.

Natural materials often vary in appearance, size and structure from item to item, which is completely natural. This includes, among other things, knots, graining, color variations, structural differences, marbling, limescale, sand pits, marks and scars in natural leather, etc. These natural variations are characteristics that the designer often intended to maintain or otherwise enhance as part of the design and do not constitute a valid reason for complaint.

How many years can I have my Jarrah furniture?

Since we don't know how you take care of your furniture, it's a difficult question. Like a car, you have to service your furniture every year. Many customers have had their furniture for 20 years now. You can always replace spare parts that extend the life. Our aim is to make furniture that lasts a long time and to achieve a sustainable environment. We don't care about wear and tear.

How do I maintain my Jarrah furniture?

First you have to decide whether you want them to have a reddish-brown luster or let them become a beautiful silver-gray.

Silver gray:

Oil the furniture when it is new once and then wait patiently until it becomes beautiful, it will take 2-3 years and you will probably think it looks black and ugly, but don't worry, it will be beautiful. Wash the furniture lightly with a dish brush and mild detergent every spring and autumn.

Constant reddish-brown luster:

Oil the entire piece of furniture when it is new and then repeat the oiling with a cloth on the visible parts 2-3 times in the summer with a light sanding beforehand. If you have not been able to touch up lightly during the summer, you must sand with coarse sandpaper before oiling to restore the shine.
