The Jarrah Group
Garden furniture group made from Jarrah (Eucalyptus marginata) which grows only in southwestern Australia. Of the wood, only the heartwood is normally used, which is dark red, but darkens further in light, and resembles mahogany (hence the name “Australian mahogany”). The wood, which is heavy, hard and strong and very resistant to rot and insects, is imported into Europe as an alternative to wood from tropical rainforests.
